Golden Milk Smoothie

Use fresh or frozen fruit. I find that using frozen tropical fruit is the most cost effective. Bananas are affordable and available all year. When bananas start to get to ripe, cut into bite sized pieces, and store in freezer until your next smoothie.

Ingredients

1 cup frozen mango chunks (may substitute pineapple)

½ frozen banana

½ cup plain, low-fat yogurt (dairy free substitute if needed)

½ teaspoon cinnamon

½ teaspoon ground turmeric

¼ teaspoon ground ginger

1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk

Pinch of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Blend everything together in a high-powered blender until smooth.  Pour into a cup and enjoy.
