Baked Yam Chips

Baked Sweet Potato Chips- Savory or Sweet

8 Servings

Ingredients

2- 7 oz. sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced thin

Celery Salt and black pepper to taste, Cajun or BBQ spice blends would be delicious as well

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Peel potatoes, slice into thin rounds.
  3. Place parchment paper on large cookie sheet.
  4. Place the slices on the parchment.
  5. Spray lightly with cooking spray.
  6. Sprinkle with spices of your choosing and place in oven.
  7. After 20 minutes flip the slices to the opposite side, and repeat steps 5 and 6.
  8. Return to oven for 15 minutes.
  9. Serve while warm or hot.

Tip:  If you are in the mood for chocolate, this recipe can easily turn into a sweet treat.  Follow steps above, leaving out savory seasonings, using just sea salt.  Melt some vegan dark baking chocolate.  When chips are done dip half into melted chocolate and allow to harden on a plate/baking sheet.  Enjoy!
